Chuksan Port(Mt. Jukdo observatory)

Chuksanhang Port - Mt. Jukdo The song of the mountains, port, lighthouse and wind makes Yeongdeok romantic Plants like aster sphathulifolius, dentranthema boreale, tiger lily, aster glehni, etc. The plant habitats are interesting. The coast has a coral habitat which is popular among scuba diving clubs.

Mt.Jukdosan

A small mountain with an area of 120,000㎡ at 80m above sea level. Mt.Jukdosan is covered with a bamboo habitat. I think about bamboo trees and snow crabs as I head up to the observation deck.

It's very cozy to be a mountain. The observation deck path is very nice for a hike. The wind from the Pacific flutters in your ears.

Mt.Jukdosan also has a reputation for its rare and wild plant habitats. There are plants like aster sphathulifolius, dentranthema boreale, tiger lily, aster glehni, etc. The plant habitats are interesting.

The coast has a coral habitat which is popular among scuba diving clubs. At the 80m summit is a white lighthouse, it is the Jukdosan observatory. It was built in 1935 to guide fishing boats into Chuksanhang Port.

It shines brightly on the Chuksan area at night. Most of the views from the mountain look down on the ocean, so the walking deck offers the most romantic scenery in the east coast. The Jukdosan Observatory is an exhibition with types of East Sea fish and lighthouses, an observatory with a view of the ocean, port and the suspension bridge and an arboretum with wild plants.

There is much that pleases the senses. The walking trail is wide and long and the sounds of the ocean add leisure to it. The octagonal pavilion nearby and the snow crab town are nice, too.

Chuksan-myeon - Chuksanhang Port : A beautiful port

Chuksanhang Port is known for its beauty. The geographical features of the mountain extends to the coast and forms a coastline like a bay.

It is a truly beautiful port. This area also relieves traffic by distributing it to National Route 7 (Donghaedaero), National Route 20 (Chuksanno) and Route 5 (Yeongdeongno).

The restaurants at Chuksanhang Port form a food town with delicious food. The port is surrounded by mountains creating a calm atmosphere.

Along with Snow Crab Village, it is Yeongdeok's greatest snow crab habitat. The night scenery is also worth seeing.

The LED lights go well with Chuksan Lighthouse. They look like ocean creatures swimming.

If you drive along the coastal road, you will feel like you are swimming with them. Lodging and swimming are available at the Chuksan Marine Experience Center.
